Multisensor Image Registration
We describe an approach for registration of images from diierent sensors that may generate local polarity reversals and inconsistent features. The developed technique is based on modifying the objective function by transforming the images into a representation that is less dependent on the local image intensity, and using an iterative process that reduces the eeect of inconsistent features.
متن کاملMultisensor image registration by feature consensus
1 Summary In this paper, we address the problem of registering two images obtained using diierent sensors, elds of view and/or lighting conditions, where conventional approaches relying on feature correspondence or area correlation are likely to fail. The approach presented in this paper eliminates the need for feature matching, and is robust to variations in sensor characteristics, imaging con...
متن کاملAutomatic Retinal Image Registration
In this paper, different automatic registration schemes based on different optimization techniques in conjunction with different similarity measures are compared in terms of accuracy and efficiency. Results from every optimization procedure are quantitatively evaluated with respect to the manual registration, which is the standard registration method used in clinical practice. The comparison ha...
متن کاملAutomatic multicomponent image registration
Multicomponent seismic images are composed of different combinations of downgoing and upgoing wavefields. Each wave mode has different propagation velocity and polarization direction and thus carries unique, direction-dependent information about the subsurface. Differences in propagation velocity cause events in convertedor shear-wave images to appear at later times than the compressional-wave ...
متن کاملAmir: a New Automated Multisensor Image Registration System
Current civilian/military surveillance and reconnaissance systems require improved capability to enable the coregistration of larger images combining enhanced temporal, spatial, and spectral resolutions. Traditional, manual exploitation techniques are not able to cope successfully with this avalanche of data to be processed and analyzed. Automated image exploitation tools can be used if images ...
